For the past 15 years, public service has been the cornerstone of my professional life. From earning the rank of Eagle Scout to serving as an Army officer in combat, I've dedicated myself to serving others. As an emergency manager, I've worked with communities of all sizes—urban and rural—always striving to ensure the public is prepared for the unexpected. However, despite my best efforts, and that of many people I deeply respect, the government at all levels struggles to keep pace with the rapid changes we face. Although I continue to make public service my primary profession, I have felt something needed to change for a time.

After seeing the 2025 Los Angeles fires I decided to enter this space.

Weather extremes are more frequent and severe, our utilities are under growing pressure, and infrastructure is failing to meet the demands of our time. Resilience, while critical, is resource-intensive—requiring time, money, space, and expertise. The reality is: that if you have the means, you should prepare yourself. This allows limited government resources to focus on traditionally underserved communities and those with the most need. Call it prepping if you want. Personally, I'm a dad with a wife who sometimes asks, "Why the hell do we need this?"—and together, we find a practical, balanced approach to preparedness that works for our family.
